URGENT MEDICATION REQUESTS
If you need to obtain medication urgently please speak to our Dispensary staff. Should you require medical assistance whilst the surgery is closed or have an urgent request for medication please dial NHS 111. For life threatening emergencies please call 999.
It is our practice policy to prescribe one month's supply of medication. If you need to re-order your medication early, for instance if you will be on holiday when your next prescription is due, please tell us the reason (this can be written on the repeat prescription sheet) and we will process the request in good time.
If you take medication on a long-term basis, you can ask for a repeat prescription by:
- Patient Access (please click on the link above or on the right hand side of the page under 'Further Information')
- leaving your re-order slip in the box situated by the dispensary window
- by speaking to a member of the team at the chemist who look after your prescription dispensing.
PLEASE NOTE - WE ARE UNABLE TO ACCEPT REQUESTS FOR REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS BY TELEPHONE.
Dispensary Opening Hours: 8:30am to 6:30pm; Monday to Friday
Medication Reviews
Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
PRESCRIPTIONS AND MEDICATION MAY NOT BE COLLECTED BY ANYONE UNDER 16 YEARS OF AGE
